We’re back in the capital of wind in Thailand!
The last few days here around Hua Hin have been pretty epic! Since we came back here on the 13th we only had one day without wind in the entire week. Well, the smallest size was my 10m PSYCHO4 but still, being out on the 12m or even the 15m is just so much better than sitting around, doing nothing!
We found some really good places around Pranburi which is about 30km south of Hua Hin. The other day we drove about 20km north of Hua Hin to find a nice kitingspot there. We always look for the big peers that usually protect the harbors from waves and storms and kite right behind them … some good flat water! It’s paradise after all these days competing in choppy conditions in Hua Hin citybeach.
Right now you can really feel a change in the weather. There’s more and more rainclouds and in the afternoons there’s usually massive thunderstorm – clouds blocking the sun. That unfortunately limits our time we have for shooting photo/video in the best light – conditions since there’s never wind in the morning, when the light is perfect.
We got our home – base set up in Hua Hin now and will do a few more daytrips around the capital of the wind of Thailand the coming week. One night before our flights we’ll check out some clubs in Bangkok and party hard so we’ll have a good sleep on the way back.
