Hey, what’s up?!

4 days ago a big carton – box from Kitejunkie arrived and in it there was my brand new GATOR Prospect, the board I’ve been waiting for!! And I tell you what … the waiting was totally worth it.

I’ve tried a couple of boards now. Mainly Liquid Force ones, since well, everybody does ride Liquid Force. I’ve also broken 2 of them. All of the boards I rode were in general a little shorter than my new one, and not that wide. I expected the board therefore to be a little slower and having a much bigger turning rade … that’s what I thought.
Then, after giving it the first try on the cable yesterday it was a totally different story. Of course the landings were hard in the beginning, since the surface hitting the water was much bigger, the board was absorbing more energy of the landing. It took me about 30 min or so and I felt nothing of it anymore … I have no idea, maybe it takes a slightly different way of landing. But the popp and the truning was just amazing. I came round the corner, pushed the edge in hard so I could use some of the line tension and nailed my first Backmobe of the day. First try .. haha … it was much easier with the new board. I took off, got enough air and nailed it!

The fins of the board are a little an angled so that you do have the best possible grip, when riding the board on the rail and having a looser feeling, when riding it flat.

It looks like I’ll take another mini – break from studying today!!
