Kitesurf – Trophy – first days
Hey folks,
after a long, long drive up to the north, which took me almost 12 hours I finally arrived in Dahme for the first stop of the Seat Kitesurf – Trophy 2009. The forecast for Thursday was alright but not very good. The wind came in slowly and the headjudge decided to start the course – race.
It went superb for me … I came in first both of the races with my Flydoor M and the 19m Silverarrow Speed2.
After this nice start of the event the comp was cancelled for the rest of the day because of the lack of wind.
Yesterday we had good winds from the east, so we launched the freestyle – competition.
It was just a great feeling to kite in front of a crowded beach with your friends again and pull some tricks.
I came up to the semi – finals where I got kicked out by Mario. So right now I am on the 3rd place and it looks like it’s gonna stay this way.
We started a double but couldn’t finish it … it was my heat where they cancelled the event for the rest of the day because the wind dropped of again.
Well … not so very much else happened … we had some party last night and enjoyed a sunny day at the cable today.
It was a good feeling to get back into it a little. I’ll seriously start hitting the cable more once I am back in Bavaria!!
There’s a live band about to start the show now and the cocktail – bar is getting crowded. ![]()
Think I’ll better take it easy because I do have a lot of driving to do tomorrow …
Later
Sebastian
