This year was my first year to do the Snowkitemasters at the Col Du Lautaret in France and I really loved it.
The event was pretty relaxed because we didn’t had too much wind but we could get a result in Best Trick and in Freestyle.
I came in 2nd right behind Björn Kaupang from Norway in the Best Trick and ended up third in the Freestyle right after Johannes from Sweden who is also riding on Flysurfer.

We actually planned to sleep in the big Flysurfer - van we came here with but the park heating broke down so we decided to find a nice place to sleep. The last time I was here two years ago my dad and me slept in a nice “auberge” just a few kilometers from the spot. I can just give all of you the advice that, in case you’ll drop by here to do some snowkiting to go to the hostel “le pas de l’ane” in Villar d’arène just 4km before you’ll arrive at the Col Du Lautaret (coming from Grenoble) you’ll turn right and go straigh direction to the campground. We did only pay 17,50€ a night/person for a sick room with shower and mountainview. It’s pretty chilly and the food is very good!
